Factory block differences?
I was wondering if dodge used different blocks for 2wd to 4wd trucks? Wondering if they are different, could the potentially shorter 2wd blocks be used to slightly lower a 4wd? Are there any differences in spring width from 2500 to 3500? Oh, I'm talking about the factory slavery block between the leaf springs and the perch on the axle.

if you can find a 2 or 3 inch block it can be used as long as it aint a cheap one from a parts store. seen to many of those break. im planning to drop mine a full 4 inches and 2 in the front eventualy, but only doing 2 of it right now. should have some pics next week of it 2 lower in the rear
Cool thanks, post the pics when you get it done. My truck has leveling coils in the front now, and I want to keep the "leveled" look but would like to drop it back to stock springs in the front, then drop the rear to even it back up. Reasoning is right now it is just a bit high when hooking trailers, and if I lower it a little I could run slightly smaller tires, have the same look, get more power to the ground, and hopefully cost less to replace, and I was hoping that lower to the ground and smaller tires should boost mileage as well.

Got my truck lowered down today, factory coils in the front, and went from a 4-5/8 factory block to a 2" block in the rear. Try to post a pic, has 285/75/16 tires on stock wheels.

Thanks, I'm checking into airbags now, pretty sure when I hook up the heavier loads, its going to look kinda saggy.
