i have a 96 6.5TD and from the time you start it till the time you shut it off it blows white smoke. when it gets to running temp its nothing but a white cloud and it runs a little rough and will shut off for a few minutes. replaced the pmd and put the stock resistor in. codes coming up are p0216 and p1214. gm wanted to put a new pump in but talking to a diesel shop they say these pumps arent that bad and dont normally go often. so if anyone has any ideas as to what i may do please inform me.

 

white smoke is a symptom of a pump issue.
