Default how can i get some power out of my 7.3?

i have a 96 f350 dually thats straight piped and has a chip. what can i do for cheap to make more power and get some black smoke? i have tried the 10k resistor and it does absolutly nothing, but i can put a 1.5k resistor in and it will have the lope but no smoke. i know smoke is unburnt fuel but its something i want what can i do to help it? i have a t.t.s chip in the computer and its straight piped like i mentioned

There is nothing you can do to it for cheap.

Welcome to Diesel Bombers...

Joebob is right, cheap and diesel are not meant to be in the same sentence...

The next step would be injectors. The stock injectors are just too limiting on a stock truck... You also need to get an EGT gauge to keep an eye on temps...

whats so bad about blowin black smoke? who cares if its unburnt fuel? everyone likes there truck set up to there likin not everyone else's. everyone hates on that but if you look at the baddest diesels like the 1500hp pullin trucks that have 150psi of boost they roal coal and make stupid amounts of power. when i said cheap i was talkin about under the $700 range or around it. is a dp tuner or tony wildman better for the 7.3?

right. just build one of those trucks then. theres your answer. and at 1500 hp and 150 psi of boost you'll have like $1.5 million in it.

Do you have any concept of off road use only? Yes they look badass but not on the street. Its pecker heads like you who are getting things like DPFs and urea injection mandatory on diesel engines.

im against it for off road use. if you have any build knowledge and tuning skill you should be able to take the computer controlled engines and make them smoke free or just very slightly where you almost cant see it. i've seen it done in commonrails, 7.3's, 6.0s, 6.4's, all of them. now that is knowledge and skill

I think you just answered your own question; those are bad diesels. They have 1500hp not 215. Throw some power at it and smoke will come. I recommend stage I's, or stage II's and a turbo.

yea well yall are some serious idiots! black smoke DOES NOT hurt the environment, its heavier than air so it falls back down aka soot! if yall are worried bout gettin little black specks on you then go buy a prius. i know people with 900hp and 1700tq and thats there daily driver. diesels are made for country boys i guess because it seems yall are to much of a pretty boy or tree hugger. who gives a damn if it smokes? thats when people ride your tail you smoke em out or smokin out peds in town. seriously the guys on here that are against smokin, go buy a prius

its pecker heads like you gettin electric cars popular. wooooo go green, ****! ever heard of a dpf delete DA? you think of diesels and you think of black smoke and torque. haha yall crack me up thinkin diesels should be "smoke-free", haha smoke free diesel is a stock diesel. yall would hate to come out to my neck of the woods
