fuel leak at fuel heating element
so ive got a fuel leak at the heating element directly above the fuel filter in between the filter and intake manifold. Question is this. Is this absolutly necessary to have/ can it be deleated? is there a better aftermarket substitution? a new replacement is $300+ from oem so you can see my reasoning....why spend $300+ on a stock replacement if you can get something better for a little more? or better yet deleate it and spend the $$$ on an item from the long wish list and tell the wife i had too.
I deleted mine, now the fuel filter just sits against the head, had to get a different fitting with more thread though from a 855 big cam IV cummins. I live in CA so I don't need it, it got down to 18* in tahoe and always started right up.
