fuel leak at fuel heating element
so ive got a fuel leak at the heating element directly above the fuel filter in between the filter and intake manifold. Question is this. Is this absolutly necessary to have/ can it be deleated? is there a better aftermarket substitution? a new replacement is $300+ from oem so you can see my reasoning....why spend $300+ on a stock replacement if you can get something better for a little more? or better yet deleate it and spend the $$$ on an item from the long wish list and tell the wife i had too.:w2:

Did you check the O-Ring.

I deleted mine, now the fuel filter just sits against the head, had to get a different fitting with more thread though from a 855 big cam IV cummins. I live in CA so I don't need it, it got down to 18* in tahoe and always started right up.

cummins part #3925955 filter head adapter then you can just screw the filter to the head:jump:

Im not 100% sure on this but i believe the fuel heaters main function is to keep the fuel from gelling when youre going down the road since the wind can lower the temp of the fuel quite a bit.

i have a 1993 dodge cummins w250 how do you take the fuel heater off

I deleted mine. It really doesn't do much IMO.

I got a fuel heater delete fitting from Geno's and it does not leak
no more replacing the plastic heater ever other year |
