Default Headlight issues

Well I just got the truck out of storage and I am ready to install my sport headlights...but,

Im having problems with my low beam lights. when I turn the lights on, I have no light in the low beam setting. when I flip the high beams on both lights light up. could the low beam filament in both be burnt out? is there a problem with my headlight switch? whats my problem?!

thanks for the help.

Do you have a multimeter?

Kind of hard to do much troubleshooting without a schematic.

I have the same problem starting 2 nights ago; low beams don't work but high beams do. It is not the headlight switch; I tried a different one. It is not the bulbs; i replaced both of them.
Next thing to try is the dimmer switch.

You are talking about the main headlight switch on the dash? What was your problem and how far from the switch? Were the wires rubbed or broken?
Thanks,

turn signal/washer/ hi lo switch on the steering wheel
my problem was that i could only get the headlights to work when i held back the lever and several other problems with headlights working and not working
i found a loose wire in the plug on there( the solder on the conector inside the plug broke allowing the wire to move around)

Ok, I thought I would get that clarified. That was next on my list to check out.
Thanks.
