06 duramax injector problems

Default 06 duramax injector problems

My dads 06 pile with 98000 on it has an injector knock and he already ran the bg cleaner through it and it stopped for a while but now has started again ive heard of problems on 01 and 02 s but not 06 s anyone else had problems

You mean injector rattle? thats very uncommon for these trucks, they run very quiet all the time unless the programming has been fiddled with or there is something wrong with the injection timing

whats been done to the truck?

It's completely stock he took it to the dealer and number 2 injector is bad

Did he get the balance rates?

And if its an 06 it should still be under warranty no?

Idk all he said that was #2 was really low and the warranty was up last month but they are going to cover it

thats good they are going to cover it, even tho changing an injector is much easier on an LBZ then an LB7, its still a bit of an undertaking
