Default Reprogram Miles to Empty?

I just replaced my factory 26 Gallon tank with a Transfer Flow 45 gallon. Fuel gauge works fine, but the DIC seems to need to be replrogrammed so it knows I'm carrying more fuel. Do I need a Tech2?

Yes, if you want it to read the Tranfer flow tank.

The transferflow has replaced the factory tank.

Yeah, I know. I dont want to use EFI as it's not worth the risk of losing my warranty.

The dealer has to prove the modification you made was the cause of your "Problem" should one ever arise and you want to get it replaced under warrenty.

Yeah, in a perfect world. Reality is GM voids your drivetrain warranty and YOU have to sue them to prevail. Good luck winning against their corporate legal team. They would drag it out for years and bleed you dry. In the meantime you have no truck or you pay for the repair out of pocket.

Efi Live would not leave a trace if you only modified the fuel capacity level

If that were the case and some kind soul in the MD/DC/VA area wanted to help me out, that would be great, but I can't see buying EFI just for that.
