I have a 95 Dodge 2500 turbo diesel with a 5.9 I'm havein problems with the tranny. Stopped at a red light everything was workin right. When i took off I only got first an second.. The throttle position sensor shows voltage 5.00: I had a computer hooked up to the truck an the throttle % stayed 0 even when I mashed the pedal??? I need some advice before I just go a rebuild my tranny for no reason.

 

check t.p.s the hard way with paper clips. go to tst website shows how to do it. Almost sure t.p.s is no good not tranny. Good luck

You should have a 47RH tranny which operates hydraulically for first thru third. tps should only affect od and lock up. not saying that the tps is good. voltage at idle should be around 1 volt with it going toward 5v at full throttle but you need to be checking the right wires. no third gear could be valve body issue or like mine was a seal which did not allow the piston to be applied.
