At what HP should i think about upgrading my drive shaft, rear dif, axels, ect....?

What are you planning on doing with the truck? Pulling drag racing Or just street use?

 

the drivetrain in these has been pretty stout... you would have to upgrade the engine extensively before you had to worry about drive-shaft and rear axle.....

 

Ah no... the driveshaft is easily gernaded while sled pulling with around 450 hp...

This is with just an Edge Juice and this is a factory steel one not aluminum...

 

I've never seen that happen... is this driveshaft from a GM? thought that all GM driveshafts were aluminum

for what the OP is looking for with his truck I really don't think he needs to do anything

 

Most are aluminum some were not. Aluminum not any better, worse imo...
Stock tie rods are def not good either...

haha the tierods on a honda civic are beefier than the stock ones on these trucks! definetly need to upgrade those quick!

 

yup, they got steel, aluminum, one piece and two piece. the alum comes in one piece.

i got the big long alum one.

i only seen them break during sled pulls.


some people get lucky, it depends on how much traction you get

 

the people who hook to a sled without having at least tie-rod sleeves deserve what they get, its very common, but the OP already knows about tie-rods
