i want to upgrade my turbo, ive been looking into the h2e or the gt38r, i kno there is a $900 price diference between the 2, from what ive read the h2e only flows 7% more then the gt38r. which is the better turbo and would b the best choice for my truck.

im not sure yet. i see alot of people on the fourm say they have 250/200% injectors which i have no clue wtf that is. id like to b shome where around 600+ hp if thats even possible with out needing after market rods and such.

i want all around good power, i pull a horse traler, a boat and i have a 53 foot goose neck trailer that i load down with a f350 a bronco and 4wheelers at one time

 

Ok, well 250/200's are 250cc with a 200% over stock nozzle.

IMHO 250/200 injectors are right at the limit for a 38r. The 38r is a good, quick spooling turbo, but your pushing the limits of it at 500-550hp.

A modded H2e is your best bet IMHO, or a WOP GQQSB turbo... Both will use a T-4i mounting kit.

Keep in mind when you go to a H2e set up you can sell your entire mount kit to help offset the added cost.

 

i went to Gillett Diesel's dyno day this weekend and a guy had Wide Open's GQQSB on his, said he only had 200cc injectors and he still had quite a bit of fuel left, he did dyno like 450 something if i remember correctly, i wasn't impressed, i don't think that turbo will do as good as they say, sure it does great on theirs, but they also get A LOT of air from nitrous, i would go with an H2E set up if your looking for 600 HP

 

The H2E and QSSB(or modded versions of both) are very similar turbos. I am getting ready to put a GQSSB on my truck next week. I am running 250/100s on my truck and im looking forward to see what it does. My normal dyno i usually run on is no longer available, nd i did 491 with my 38R. If i was going back on that Dyno, i would be hoping for over 500hp with the GQSSB. The GQSSB is a proven turbo. this particular turbo has done over 800hp, on the juice of course.

38R is a very good turbo, works great, i think it is more suted for Stage 2 injectors rather than hybrids. If you have plans for bigger injectors, id go with the Modded H2E or GQSSB.

 

Depending on the nozzle size of that injector and the tuning, it sounds about right for power... He has more turbo...

For your plans, I'm with these guys, Either the modded H2E or the GQSSB... 38r is at its limits with the bigger hybrid injectors.
