Default 2006 Cummins ATS Transmission Question

I have an 06 2500 with a newer ATS transmission, everything seems great with the shifting and the firmness. I am just curious if it is normal for it to give a good bump when moving from park to drive. Its not loud and it doesnt feel like a clank or a grind, it just kind of bumps forward. I did speak with one person and he thaught it was a normal condition for a suped up tranny. I would appreciate any knowledge or same experiences. Thanks.
