Default Does your truck leak oil?

As above my truck always leaves tiny spots of oil, whenever i clean the engine up i can never find where it comes from and its really annoying. a freind has a 98 24v and it does the same but he doesn;t worry about it. Is it normal for these cummins to drip a lil? also the tranmission occasionally drips a bit but never loses anything on the stick. are there any common parts i coudltry tightening to sort these problems out or is it just part of living with a Cummins?

Very common for sure... But my 12v doesn't leak anymore (fixed a few gaskets)

Assuming you don't actually have seals or gaskets going bad, that's typically just blowby residue dripping from the draft tube.

+1. look for a big open hose/pipe right next to the starter. You'll usually see small drips around the opening of the tube.

Yeah the blow by tube drips a little but thres also a bit on the block further forward but the course is very tricky to track down. i know my dip stick tube has a smashed end and doesn't seal up right, so i figure come could spit outa there occasionally. But most of these replies make me thinkI should keep looking but prepare to get used to it...and stick a towel under there on customers driveways!

its a cummins thing, pretty sure oil leaks are a factory option, along with death wobble straight from dodge

Found my leak! from the power steering pump/vacume pump joint. Not what i was expecting... in fact i didn;t realise they were there or joined until i saw the leak! Is either likely to be damaged or will this be all I need?
