Does your truck leak oil?

yea both my trucks leek a bit. its really a difficult task to keep a motor with boost clean, all the boost is going somewhere, and alot of it is getting into your case and just putting an *** whipin on all your seals and gaskets. my gasser leeks from the rear main and so does the cummins, valve covers are messy on both trucks.
i re sealed the valve covers on the dodge, did a front seal, and i bet if i put a new rear main in it wouldnt ever drip. but the valve covers still get residue around the bolts, the timing seal still leaves some residue. same goes for the gasser, brand new rear main seal, still leaves a residue. iv tried hard to seal these trucks up, its just the nature of forced induction imo. boost= oil consumed one way or another.
when people bitch about it i dont even bother explaining how tall of an order it is for a seal to hold its own with 35 pounds of boost eeking by the pistons and pressurizing the case, i just tell them real trucks leak oil...

transfer case does not share oil with the trans.slip yolkes always sling a little bit of oil but if its excesive then you can change the seal, i think they run about 25 bucks and they are really easy to change. just unbolt the rear driveshaft at the differential, and slide the dripeshaft out of the transfer case. you will spill a little fluid so pick up a quart of atf.
btw, make sure its actually the output seal that leaks. my case leaks a little but i dont really even bother looking around for it because i see epoxy all over he case on one side of it... i just look the other way on a problem of that nature.

pretty normal to have a little bit of residue around a slip yoke seal. i just really need to figure out why my truck pisses so much power steering fluid, i had my starter motor rebuilt the other day and they said it was ruined from all the oil that was leaking all over it and getting inside it so its time to fix that leak.
