Take the injector out, clean it real good, remove the nozzels and break clean it real good. See if that does the trick

I am curious to how you diagnosed #5 injector. Has rhe head gasket been ruled out at this time? If it is indeed an injector problem, perhaps try swapping injectors between cylinders to see if the problem moves with the injector, or stays with the cylinder.

If you have an infrared temp gun, you can check the exh manifold for temp at each cylinder. Do this with a cold truck otherwise the heat distributes and is difficult to check. A cold cylinder/section of manifold would indicate a dead cylinder. Then you will know which injector to chase.

As for the nozzle, pull the injector, and there is a "nut" on the injector that holds the nozzle in place. Remove the nut to access the nozzle.

yes thats what he means. because if it runs for awhile the manifold will get hot from the other cylinders.

Yes, a cold engine. Cold enough to touch. If you don't have a temp gun, you can use your hand, but be FAST and safe.
