Default Have a couple ?'s

Like the title say I have some questions about my setup.

1. When I installed my gooseneck hitch I made a slight measurement error. Instead of the ball being over the axle its about 14 inches ahead. It does ride and steer better this way, but does it put too much weight on the front axle? Its also a tight fit between the back of the truck and the trailer but not a big deal. Ill get pics.

2.In Texas, what do they look for in the annual inspection? The reason I ask is because I have some electrical plugs and led marker lights that aren't exactly made for the USA. The lights look normal and the plugs work better than anything ive used (they clip together) but still.

3. How much does the insp. sticker cost?

I can't tell you much about the gooseneck in the wrong spot but in Texas the do a general safety inspection and emissions in certain counties . They make sure that the headlights, taillights, horn ect... work also your wind shield does not have any cracks that impede the wipers or your vision. Also they will take it for a short drive to make sure it is safe for the road. As for price it varies by county but I have seen from $35-$65 for the safety test. But that was a couple of years ago when I was stationed there and I never did an emissions test there.

having the gooseneck ahead that far will help (maby too much) with weight distribution, but may cause a problem with turning radius, and if it is a short bed you got no space for any kind of 5th wheel.
