Default Water pump??

Hey guys, have coolant leaking from the bottom of my water pump on the front of the motor. I'm guessing it is coming from the weep hole, but just noticed it on the way to work this morning and couldn't really investigate. How long can I drive it like this (I don't seem to have lost much coolant on the hour drive in)? And, who has replaced this before? How much coolant can I expect to lose during the change? How long does it take the average driveway replacement to occur? Where is the best place to source the pump? Thanks.

check yer coolent level, the weep hole wont leak much normally so you should have some time here but get on it as soon as you can.

the change is easy, hardest part is just getting to it

Thanks Whit. Just ordered the pump, so at worse I should be able to change it out this weekend. How much coolant do I need to buy, and who would have the best prices on the HOAT coolant? Thanks again!

Ok guys, one more question for ya. What causes the pump to go out? I drive like an old woman, and try as much as possible to keep all my maintenance up to date. I have the smarty set to #3, or the 60hp setting due to my lack of transmission upgrades (auto trans). I have 112,000 on the odometer and have not flushed my coolant until now... Also, is anyone running a 180* thermostat? I could replace the thermostat when I flush the coolant, and it would help the process by removing the thermostat temporarily during the flush. I daily drive the truck about 300-400 miles a week at 60-70mph for most of that time. In addition I live in SC which is normally quite warm for most of the year. I have heard differing stories about mpg being affected by changing to the 180 thermostat, but don't know if it is true. Any thoughts on whether I should stick with 190* or go to 180*.

I also noticed when I got home that it does not appear to be leaking as much as it was this morning, but there is staining around the water pump which means I missed this issue for at least a month or two. Any help, thoughts, or opinions are welcome. Thanks again!

Any ideas? Bump...

Well, I decided to go with the 180* thermostat... We'll see what happens.
