I bought mine for 6k with 218000 on it with an extended cab and power everything. If it were me, I would sit on it... Its an XL model auto that has been plowed and worked, 5k would be a much better deal.

There isn't really any sitting on it. If I don't buy it this weekend for 6 then I would have to pay 6350 the truck has a rebuilt trans and I don't know if you looked at the pics but its really clean and the front end is tight and it has been beated on.

i bought my 95 for 6k with 150xxx on it, ex-cab XLT. i couldve bought a 97 4door short box XLT with 118xxx for 6500. are there better deals out there, yes. but youre getting a GOOD deal and better then that, you know what the truck has been threw, you arent gonna buy it and find out that it needs a $3000 fix, thats a plus. just my .02 and how i look at trucks when i go to buy one.

Smoker and Simpson have good points. There are better deals out there. Sit and wait IMO, if someone gets the truck, move on, if not, he'll lower the price to get rid of it. If you know the truck has been worked hard and beaten, the ball is in YOUR court. Wait.

I agree just wait and see. You know everything about it and since he is your friend he will probably give you another chance before he sells it.
