Default PPE lift pump

Im considering buying a 160gph PPE lift pump off a buddy of mine. All it is, is the pump. Is all that i have to do is remove the stock lift pump and put the PPE inline? Or do I need to change out fuel lines and do other modifications? Also anyone have any feedback about the PPE lift pump?

best bet it to contact PPE or see if they have instructions on their website.

However, if they are like most other pumps, you'll need to run new lines into the pump from the tank and then from the pump to your filter housing and simpling disconnect the lines and wiring from the factory pump. Thats if you have a block mounted lift pump, if you have an intake pump, you'll need a seperate draw straw kit in order to suck fuel from the tank.

That pump should be mounted on the frame.

pretty much some 3/8ths tube and some hose clamps? I already got the fittings on the pump so i just need to find a way to mount the pump to the frame then run a larger line.

just do what the guys from pure flow technologies do, get 2 flat 1/8 inch steel plates about 10 inches long, 6 inches wide, drill some holes and run some bolts through so that the frame is between each plate , 2 bolts above frame rail, 2 under it, no drilling the frame, tighten the bolts down. use some type of band clamp such as an exhaust clamp or U-bolt to hold the pump to one of the plates, get you some diesel grade fuel line from local auto parts store, th wiring harness is the tough part, unless you have it

I had a PPE and I went through three of them before I bought a Fass they just never lasted very long and I got tired of spending 300 bucks once a year
