Default water meth plus nitrous on a n/a engine

I think this could be a compliment to the engine as long as it is used with common sence. Now when talking about just throwing it on and strapping it to a dyno...... the IDI probably wouldn't like it so much, be like making a 400 lb man with heart disease run a marathon after an eight ball line of cocaine. What do you guys think? Have any of you done this? This was brought to my attention and sparked an intrest, lets here your duys pros/cons.

I think water/meth would be pointless without boost to cool, and nitrous would add power but I dont know how strong the internals are on these IDI's

It'll be noticeably more powerful, but to get crazy with the power on the IDI's, lowering the compression is almost a necessity.

i was doing some messuring to see if some of the bbf motors internals would fit. i once heard that 460 and or 429 internals were close and could be machinable. if soo steel forged internals would be nice for some power. any one else here anything about that?

yeah , the inserts in the idi head where the injector is might melt as well if the egt's get too high.... possibly be blown apart ..... methanol injection is a maybe.... nitrous is just too tricky ...... and you had better have injectors turned up and ready for the punch.... the bottom ends can take all u can throw at em the rods r forged.... rings might be an issue ...... pistons might survive if ya don't get too crazy..... would like to hear more about the specs of the system intended to use .......

Compression is an issue if you're trying to 30lbs of boost like you would on a PowerStroke.

I run 30+psi on a daily basis. 40+psi on my 50/50 water-meth mix.
