Default fuel pump problems

having problem with fuel on my 98.5 2500 have the holley big fuel kit installed and have now had 3 fuel pumps go out any ideas

What Holly pumps? Many arent compatable with with diesel

all been the holley blue pumps sold as a kit through jegs for diesels. they seem to last about a year and the motor locks up on them

Yes, they arent compatible with diesel. Some people have had them live long lives but they are few and far between. Get yourself a pump thats made for diesel.

I got a Carter 4601hp for 8 years now and haven't had a problem with it yet. I think it is a little cheaper than the holley. I try to get people to put on a fass or air dog but if they don't have the money I suggest the carter. I also leave the stock pump on the block and push fuel to it. I have no problem keeping fuel pressure about 22 idle and 16-18 WOT and 14 under a load with a good fuel filter.
