Wanted to see what you guys think of a superchips max micro tuner.I found a used one for $100.Thanks for your replies.

 

Why do you think it's only $100?
You can do better. Save up for a Smarty.

 

With your VP44 truck you would be better off the a Edge Comp, Quad Adrenaline or Edge Juice with CS/CTS.

 

It is noticable, I used to have one, and actually sold it for $100. It does what it says it does, but the smarty does more, and does it better. As long as you don't break it you could always re-sell it and get a smarty later.

need gauges first especially a fuel pressure gauge the low pressure warning is late already have chance of pump failure when it goes off.

Just want to help save another guy 1200 for a pump etc. I have seen it all too often a programmer and nothing to make sure you don't kill the truck. But a lot of guys don't know any better. Now you can get a programmer with built in gauges like the edge juice, or quad adrenaline. my dad may be selling his juice from his 99 and getting a comp again. He just likes them better.

 

thats really true, even stock you should make sure you're getting enough fuel.
For $100 if you don't have the money for something better it will be noticeable, but its not comparable to a smarty or a comp, etc.
