Dana 60
Not quite sure if this is the right place or not but here goes:
I can get my hands on a cheap Dana 60 full floating rear axle, but the problem is that it is only a single rear, not a dually like i want. Can i get hub extender/extensions for it? Does anyone make them, or do i need to just find a set in a junk yard to swap onto it?
Thanks

IMHO I would find a 10.25 or 10.5 Sterling out of a newer Ford due to the strength vs. the 60. A Dana 60 rear axle is only about the size of a 9" Ford. The Sterling rear is close to the size of a Dana 80 other than the ring and pinion. Also there isn't a difference between the single or the dual wheel housing. They use the long wheel studs to be used on either.
I would also skip the Dana 60 for running duals. Its cheaper to buy the right rear end than adding wheel adapters.
A few better axles, in no particular order:
- 14 bolt full-float
- Dana 70
- Dana 80
- Ford 10.25
