Default 1996 PSD downpipe upgrade help

My 96 PSD's downpipe leaks & I am lookin at aftermarket one's and am wonderin which one is best and easiest to install I dont want to have to smash my firewall in much and am on a limited budget. Any sugesstions?

mbrp or diamond eye 3in dp can be had less then 100 bucks... you will need to modify your firewall either way

Firewall modification is a must on our trucks. Either get yourself a Portapower and wedge a 2x4 on the tranny and let the power tool do its thing. Or saddle up, get yourself a crow bar and do work!

portapower is the only way to go on the firewall. firewall modification isnt as bad as you think it is, just be sure when you do it that you smash it far enough in and away from the down pipe, otherwise it vibrates on the firewall, i speak from experience here, take the extra time to smash the firewall in otherwise youll be tearing the DP out to do more "body modifiacation" good luck with it

I got the diamond eye turbo back set up. The down pipe has the flange at the bottom that would connect to the stock cat. I'm not sure if you bought just the down pipe if it would come the same way. MBRP down pipe is a straight 3" w/out flange.

I got the Diamond Eye off ebay it wasnt bad & I just ended up using a crowbar which got er done it sounds a ton better and way more deep.

about to do the same, i see cobb's has a diamondeye for $80 aluminized. I hate that uterus shaped stock flat pipe!! about how far did you have to clearance the firewall to do it?? i got plenty of prybars
