I was at work and cleaning the parts area out we threw away (i managed to save, atleast) a 5.9 turbo, a bad vp44, and a good 8.3 cummins injector pump (PM me if interested) So my buddy at work has the idea of making a jet with it. excpect some pictures extremely soon!

 

Should be fun. Still got that vp? I've been itching to dissect one.

 

dude so sorry I actually just got back from tearing it down.
and do you know the size of the inducer of the compressor on that 5.9 turbo.
i might run into some more vp44s, and I'll make sure you get one if I do

The size of the turbo depends on what year engine it came off of. The CR engines with the HE351 had 60mm inducers and the hx35 on the older engines were 54mm.

 

i think I measured it with a tape and it came out to be roughly 2.5 inches

 

is that with the housing on or off?

60mm= 2.36
54mm= 2.12

 

it was hard to measure with the silencer on so I just kinda guessed it

 

what is the turbo model? Should be a tag on the compressor housing.

 

im not sure. it came off a stock 96 3500 12 valve. I left it at work so I will have to get back at you tomorrow.
