Default lb7 smoke switch?

Ok guys I have done alot of research, and I don't think you can put a smoke switch on an lb7 but if you can some pics would help, or a diagram. I don't want to hurt the truck either. My brother has a 99 24v with an edge ez and we put a switch on that by tapping the map and edge together, can I do the same on my truck I have an edge juice. If this is dumb just tell me I am not trying to **** anyone off, thanks for any help.

I would not recommend it at all. It is not good for the truck. Be careful with the Edge as well it is known to cause the truck to shut off at any point.

It will shut your truck off completely. My buddy had one on his and was driving down the road hauling hay and it shut the truck off. So he had to get it stopped. Turn the key off and turn it back on to get it started again. He sent it in and had it updated and it still did it. He doesn't have it anymore. Its only on the LB7's and its not every truck but it is known to happen.

happened to mine many times with the edge........... best bet would be to get efi and buy or build a smoke tune and if you go to the duramax fourm they have already covered every detail to one........... but not for an lb7, they said the only way to maybe do it is riggin up a ppe boost valve cant remember exactly how but if ya wanna know check it out on there its like 50 some odd pages long

Ok, I will not even mess with it. It is more of a pain than it's even worth, thanks for the input.

get a dsp5 switch and an efi live tune. both my brother and dad have the same setup on their duramaxes and it is truly an awesome setup, better then any crappy box tuner your going to get. of course youl either need to learn how to tune or pay a shop to do it but it rely is the only way to have a truly high quality tuner with multiple on the fly adjustments.
