yeah I would be interested to. the only problem I have is getting the veggie. I would be running around for a couple hours a week burning fuel in order to get enough veggie to run my truck.
My father in law is interested in it (he owns a dairy farm) and I would have him buy the system and write it off as a business expense.
but again supply. I would be doing all the running around which is time consuming

 

Any info I may need to go this route if the fuel prices keep going up

Guys, its only a buck a gallon to produce WITHOUT the diesel. You will have to determine the percentage (B5, B10, B15, B20, etc..) that you will mix to run. In most cases biodiesel doesnt cost any less than using ULSD. It just burns cleaner.

so you dont have to buy equipment for the truck?

 

That depends on where you live. Biodiesel will gell up faster than regular diesel so it has to be heated to be able to flow. It also leaves a wax parrifin in the tank which clogs filters so you will be changing filters more often. This also causes a problem when you run straight diesel because it will strip the parrifin and send it through the system clogging everything up faster.

 

My thoughts was to get one of these skids and make a batch up now and again and use it to supliment my fuel.....do like a 10-20% bio as an additive............bio has excellent lubricity and it would solve alot of problems there.

My problem is it gets very cold here for 6 months out of the year so this is what holds me back

 

Gonna need a heater on the gathering tank and the fuel tank on the truck. Some have tryed the in-line superheaters with mixed results.

 

so what bout doin this just for summer time operation?
