ok im wantin to lift my truck with a suspension lift. then a 3 inch body lift. im wantin to go pretty big on the lift and run 38's. im tryin to find a 8 inch suspension lift for a reasonable price. there all 2500+ im wondering if anybody here knows someone or does suspension lifts that could help me out on a lift for my truck. any discounts or where to look. and wheels and tires. i know about top gun customz but they are high too. any pointers or know somebody who is selling a good sized lift kit id be glad to know. sure would APPRECIATE it guys

 

Cheap and lift do not go well together. Lift it right or don't lift it at all unless you want headaches.

 

i understand that i just dont understand a 5 inch is 789 and a 8 inch is 2799

 

You won't get any cheaper than that, take into account all the things that have to be redone in a lift that big.

 

i lifted mine myself with parts from topgun customz, less than 800 in all of it. i got 37s and could clear 38s fine

 

how many inches did u raise it and wat all did u change out. im also gonna put a 3 inch body lift on mine. u at least had to raise it 7 inches to ''clear'' 38's ''fine''. and how many hp u pushin. 450? wonder if i got a add a leaf or two then a 3 inch block that should get me 6 or 7 in the back the a 4 inch lift coil spring and a 5 inch spacer. just to get it up can u email me a pic of ur truck then and now ericblazier18@gmail.com

 

Lifts are sweet alright, but also a headake... With my minimal research i've noticed that 6" lifts and under seem to be just spindles and misc. parts... With an 8" and bigger you have support brackets and extensions and angle shimms, etc... This sure puts some strain on your stock parts... like with my truck - i will be replacing about $600 in steering parts this weekend due to my lift... I have three "Fabtech" shocks on each front wheel that cost nearly $80/each... Not much, but when you replace six at a time, it adds up...

Like someone else said, either spend the money to do it right or don't do it so big... Mine is costly even after the lift is installed... few hundred bucks here and there since i've owned it... Just something to think about... Good luck!

 

heard that sounds like a pain in the *** i may just do a 6 then a 3 inch body lift thats good enough i reckon. im gettin ready to have alot of horsepower within a couple months so i guess the less the lift the better

 

I am totally agreeing with you on this one. Along with lifting a vehicle comes never ending problems. It may just be small things here and there, but they add up over time. Bottom line is if you lift something, especially an excessive amount of lift, things go wrong
