I bought my truck from a GM dealer with no cat. Now I have to smog it and need a damm cat. any one out there got one?

i would take it in to smog it, just make sure you remove any power adders, and make sure the truck has no DIC codes, they do a visual inspection, opacity tests, and as long as she doesnt smoke more than stock should be good

 

You should be alright. as far as power adders the is a link on that site for the Executive orders that have cleared some performance parts.

 

If you want you can borrow mine for smog inspections.

 

I know it might be a stretch, have you looked into contacting the dealer? If they sold you a vehicle with out the proper equipment then it should be on them.

 

I know in NC it is againt the law for them to sale one without a CAT if it came from the factory with one.
