As for the oil pressure issue, I had the same thing happen to my '85 K2500 w/6.2.
When I first got it the oil pressure was 80 psi cold and approx. 50 psi warm. 1 day I started it and the cold pressure was approx. 20 psi. I shut it off, restarted and same 20 psi reading. No knocks, ticks ,rattles. I changed the oil pressure sending unit and that cured the low reading.
I figured a sending unit is cheaper than an engine, and a bit easier to do so I tried it and it solved the problem.
If you have a mechanical gauge that's not installed, you could use that for testing/conformation purposes.
Hope this helps.
