just need some info on a good timing setting for my truck nothin crazy just 370"s fuel plate and hx40 how much timing should i run in it its a street truck that tows too

cause if u go any more, u can pop ur head gasket. when u increase timing u gain several things. thats why u see people with studs running say 22* like i am. but with out studs, u increase cylinder pressure from the advanced timing that u can pop the head gasket running bolts

 

i am running 26 degs but its too much for the street.

 

don't forget the 370's are a 155* spray vs the stock 145* bowl. If you go to high with the timing you'll be spraying out of the bowl.
