timing
Anyone advance the IP timing a few degrees and see any benifits? Just kinda wondering for later down the road for some power. I'd like to hit 450 ft of tq to the wheels one day
I did some reading and about 2 degrees before top dead center was the best. More power gain lower egts and hardly no turbo lag

Are shop doesn't have that timing meters. So I'll just take it down to one of the diesel shops in town. and they bumped it 2 degrees over the stock setting at 2000 r's BTDC. Heres the site they did it. Its for a 6.2 but it shouldn't really matter since they both use the DB2 pump Oliver Diesel - Engines & Outdoors
