Close! Optimus has a flat top 60'in sleeper and if you want to get real picky about it, Optimus was a cabover Kenworth.

That rig is SWEET!

Actually the original generation 1 Transformers Optimus Prime was supposed to be a White Freightshaker cabover.

Optimus in the 07 movie was an 07 379X with a flat top 60" sleeper.

On a cooler note......

If Ironhide gave you a woody in the new movie version you can now buy exact copies for roughly $81+K with either an 8.1L Gas or a 6.6L Duramax Diesel. Each truck actually has the custom "Autobot" emblem etched into the tailgate.

i don't want to because i might start to sound like you 3 dorks.

i still have my gen 1 optimus prime i can never decide if i want to hang on to it or sell it. it's easier to hang on to because i don't have to do all the research involved with selling it.

Old thread, but not much going on around here, so...

I read somewhere that Michael Bay went with a 379 because he didn't think a cabover would realistically produce a robot the size of Optimus Prime. I've seen some custom cabovers with add-on sleepers and break-away doors to allow the normal cab to separate from the sleeper, that would've fit better, been cooler IMO. And woulda given casual fans like myself one less thing to nitpick. Maybe a custom Argosy (spelling?). That would've been cool, to show a respect for the original. Oh well, I guess that's enough of a rant for today, be safe out there.
