lb7 head stud torque???

Default lb7 head stud torque???

Just got my arp head studs @ was reading instructions on proper torque says to torque to 125lbs in 3 equal incriments 40,40,45? total 125-else where on this site it was posted to torque to 125lbs loosen torque to 125lbs3-4 times - what gives?

I would do the proper increments to 40ft-lbs, 80ft-lbs then 125ft-lbs in proper rotation around the head, then once you've torqued the last one up the remaining amount go around and make sure each one is at 125ft-lbs. As far as I know I thought this is just standard procedure

when i did mine it said to follow what they said to torque them down to.



i let them sit over night too after the second trq sequence and a few of them were a little loose.

Default arp studs update

Talked with arp today -old stud kits that came with moly lube have a diff torque procedure- than the new kits that come with arp lube-note arp said there are alot of old kits out there.
