ive been told over and over to get them but i want to go the easiest route can i tighten the stock studs and what does it mean to bottom tap the holes im not familular with this term.

 

it means to run a bottom tap through the holes after you take the head bolts out. It adds extra threads to the hole.

 

what tap size is it cause i dont have new ones or want to take an old one out yet to find out

A bottoming tap has a flat bottom instead of a tapered bottom. Bottoming taps are for cleaning out the threads in a hole, and normal taps cut new threads. You don't want to try and re-tap or cut new threads in the bottom of the hole, just clean them out and make sure that they aren't rounded over or getting in bad shape. If you try and cut new threads at the bottom, you will just compromise the existing ones.

no to your first question you canot just tighten the stock one first there to weak and the head still lifts studs prevent that secound if you tighten the to tight you will snap them
