I am confused, which exhaust should I put on my 97 2nd Gen? I want power, economy and the ability to have room to grow for the future, but I want fairly quiet with a muffler. Should I buy a 4" system or look for a 5" ? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

 

Unless your going for big power in the future then the 4in is all you need. I have never used a muffler on any of mine so I can't say how the different brands sound.

 

4'' is all you're going to need i think, and it'll be quieter than a 5" system with or without a muffler

 

its alot easier to get mufflers for a 4 inch system. 4 or 5 inch on these trucks are loud but they sound great

 

Bought a Diamond Eye 4'' system from ebay it's 4'' right from the turbo back. It sounds nice with the muffler, not really loud unless you get right on it and it also comes with the muffler delete pipe if you want a little more drone. I'm happy with it you can feel the increase in power and if I remember right it was right around $300, comes with nice 5'' tip too.
