flex plate
Ok does any one know if the 6.9 flre plates are externaly or internaly balanced and how many teeth on the 6.9 flexplates are. I know the 7.3's flexplate are 164 teeth and are exterternally balanced. I need to know cause I'm using my 90's E40d auto trans and bolting it up to my 6.9
And I cant find any one that knows please help me guys

As far as I know the flex plates or flywheels are interchangeable between 6.9 and 7.3 as long as the 7.3 is an idi not a powerstroke. tHE POWERSTROKE 7.3 IS DIFFERENT.
I have put 7.3 idi flywheel on my 6.9 no pronlem.
