radiator core support

Default radiator core support

hey all got a 1991 f250 7.3 and need to replace the main core support. one side of the front end has dropped and needs to be replaced. any comments on where to even get one. all the junkyards around here have em but are rusted as bad as mine or has been is front end crashes. how hard is it to replace? thanks tim.

is a little fun to replace. best bet is to try and find one south. or rebuilt yours if u can. welder is your friend.

it's way past being able to repair or re build. i found one online for 130 bucks just wondering how hard it is to replace

make sure the one u found is for a diesel. the rad opening is bigger.

not super hard to replace. backyard job, maybe half a day.

Just swapping it out isn't too bad a job, even if you go slow you should have it done in a day. Just keep track of all the hardware you remove.

ya im just wondering since it's almost a 20 year old northern truck how rusted out the bolts are and how avaible any new bolts would be. also i know gotta take out radiator, headlights, grille, and fenders any ideas what else? just like to know how mush of a pain it's going to be before i start. thank you tim

start soaking them now. last time i had one off i snapped a few bolts.

soak em in? penetrating oil? any good brands? wd40?

wd40 is a lubircant.

use pb blaster, or kroil.

ok just sprak on all bolts and go to it after a while of soaking. i was wondering if there was like a kit of bolts and stuff?
