Default turbo

i am looking at an 1999 cummins it has the quadzilla chip with banks waste gate and in take. the guy just put a new turbo in it because he said that the old one the oil seals were leaking.. what can cause the turbo to leak?? the truck has 120000 miles
also he just had the tranny rebuild but i dont think he put any after market parts in it, do you think with the chip and the other parts it has a good chance of blowing out again?
thanks

Running to much boost to often on the stock turbo can be hard on it but normally it is shutting the engine down imediatly after A hard pull to often will cause most turbo problems. Depends on which Quad chip You have whether or not You are going to trash the transmision or not. If it is the max mileage or xzt You should be ok but if You have the adrenaline You would be ahead by getting A good torque converter and valve body.

Try to find A dayaco close by. They have A great triple disk torque converter for much less money than the big names. As for the valve body I am running A suncoast but if You feel comfortable doing it Yourself the transgo shift kit does the same thing.
