My buddy has a 99 dodge v-10 2500 that will not shift out of first gear. He has replaced the valve body and said the only thing that looked odd was the accumulator piston. If the accumulator piston doesn't seal right will that prevent shifting out of first gear? I know it's not a diesel but the tranny is very similar to the diesel 47re right???

 

change the speed sensors, I bet it will fix it

 

He's changed them already but it had no changes???

 

check the range sensor or mlps switch
