Default Jerks...

Took my truck to a new diesel performance shop to get a headgasket and arps installed... Heres a list of bonus problems they provided me! Cracked my fuel rail somehow, they refused to pay for it... The truck sat for about 2 weeks because of that. Got the fuel rail in, and as I hit mile marker 300 after getting out of the shop, the truck begins to knock. I dont know why my truck is knocking exactly but, I think its time CEN TEX DIESEL Is put out of business. They are crooks if you ask me.

Sounds like somebody had bad luck with an unreasonable customer. Happens to every shop.

How do you figure the damage is the customers fault?

It the rail wasn't, he clearly dealt with that situation poorly by not reading the contract.
The knocking lacks vital information to come to a conclusion. However, due to the nature of the work done, driver abuse is a certain possibility.

Are you representative to this company or individual?
it might be wise not to assume anybody's fault. A third party view is not really helpful at this point because it's all assumptions. I would like better detail of the complaint, and a rebuttal from someone at CEN TEX Diesel. Then opinions can be formed by the masses.

Forced induction... Go jump off a tall bridge, nobody loves you. I put up with the fuel rail because it was reasonable... But then my motor starts knocking 300 miles later without any serious abuse. Btw, for as long as I have been reading your posts FI, I think youre just here to stir s**t up. You know nothing.

I wonder if they didnt accidently put a 5.9 head gasket in it. It could cause the valvle lash not to set right and cause knocking later on. This ALMOST happened on my truck luckily Jim Jones at texas performance diesel caught onto it and even though it cost him 8 hours of his time. He made it right and business that will do that is awesome in my book I'd start by checking the valve lash. I actually had Jim set my valve lash a little tighter than stock and it quieted the engine down a good bit. I dont think it was you for the simple fact that I beat the crap out of my truck and have yet to crack the fuel rail lines or hear a "knock" of any kind. I doubt you abuse yours more than I do mine I bet what happed is they tightened the P^SS out of the fuel rail lines and that caused a crack.

So your saying everyone that has a headgasket replaced and studs put in abuses there truck. Now granted I use my truck and I dont baby it ,but I dont crank up, run the hottest tune I can, and build as much boost as possible before its warm these truck are expensive people tend to take care of something that cost alot of $$$$$. I know a guy here in town that just had studs, a silver bullet, and a wastegate put on and runs smarty on sw1 all the time. When I had to replace my HG I wanted studs because I was going for more power, this guy did it to hopefully keep from relplacing it again
