Default air filter box inserts

I got a new afe air intake for my 98 dodge ram and in the instructions it says that i need to take the old rubber inserts off and transfer them into the new box, but i can't figure out how exactly to take the old ones out without ruining them. The new intake didn't come with them so i'm probably going to have to use the original ones. So do you guys have any idea on how to take those old rubber inserts out?
Thanks,
Brett

Just pull on them. They come right out of the OEM airbox
