Default Edge evolution ????

Hi I have a 1995 ford F250 powerstroke , it has an aFe stage 2 intake and 3 and a half straight pipe and 262000kms. I am looking to put the edge in it but i dont want to grenade my motor i tend to have a heavy foot . I am worried about the kms on the truck and how the injection system and the turbo will take it. So any horror stories or have you had good luck . Thanks!

Get yourself a set of gauges and learn to drive by them... You might loose a tranny with that many miles, but thats just going to happen.

I would recomend a chip over a programer myself... Contact Bill or Corey at Power Hungry Performance, they can set you up with a chip, or even a custom tuned Edge unit that will be night and day better then the stock ones.

check up in the sponser forum, Power Hungry Performance...

i had an edge evolution on a 96 PSD i had. it was a built auto loader. that chip wasn't worth a dam on tow. race and extreme did ok. but overall i think it did better on stock. i would go with a 6 position chip.

If it is an auto get a trans gauge, boost and pyro. Id also recommend a bigger trans cooler the stock one is tiny. ANd its the weakest link.

Can you give a little bit of insight on why you think this is true? Just curious.

Its not uncommon for it to mess up the PCM and you have to have the dealer reflash the computer because it wont entirely release the program. They cause lots of strange problems due some more research on it before you buy it'll be worth the effort. The programming they use seems fine in the gen2 7.3's but not in ours it just screws up your truck it has to several of our members here. So much so that nobody here really recommends them for anything except to be sold to some other uneducated sucker. Just a word of caution.

now, php i do understand you REprogram edge evos.. and to me that says it all. REprogramming means fixing the original problem... the problem being the factory edge tunes.
