intake

i wanna put on an aftermarket intake. thinkin either the AFE or S&B. only a 20$ difference so no battle there but as far as performance and numbers and personal experience what does anyone recommend?

Almost everyone will recommend a DIY tymar tipe a.k.a. napa 6337 filter.

i was reading up on the d.i.y set up. if that was the route would a dividing wall be neccisary as to not breathe in the warm engine bay air

I'm no expert, but most will say not neccessary. I would recommend a sock or pre-filter over the filter. Got mine at riffraff diesel.

there are alot of people who love the tymar(diy intake). it is a good cheap intake that will do every thing you want it to. i have the AFE stage 2 in mine and im completely happy with it.
