I don't have any problems that i know of from it, but i hear that you should run one. I have a 100# and am wondering if i should put it back in. Also if i do will lose power?

Diesel Urban Legend #1....
"Oh you better put that plate back in or you will have the rack stick and ruin your truck"

If I had a dollar for as many times over the years as I have heard someone who really didn't know what they were talking about say that,I'd be a rich man.

Here is how you look at it justin...
If you have not had any issues running plateless and can manage the low end with your foot, then its your truck and do what you want and do not allow the naysayers to use their scare tattics to change your decision.

My truck has been plateless for a long time now.I had a TST #10 in mine for a while and I also have a TST 6 and a the elusive TST 4.At one time I have tried them all and they all were used when the pump shop did my pump to see where we stood plated and plateless.I choose to manage my low end with my right foot and stay plateless and will stay that way.

i used to run without a plate til the the cam broke in my pump and blew a hole in the back end of it. it was either no plate or the 300,000 miles on it. i just don't want to chance it on mine

How would running plateless have anything to do with the cam?

Sounds to me like your cam gear walked off.
