Default OBD dilemma

Currently I use an edge with attitude as my gauges in my truck, but now smarty has came out with PoD, and requires to be plugged in... My gauges on my edge wont work without being plugged into the OBD. And I dont really want to switch to gauges instead of my monitor. Any ideas?

It only needs to be plugged in for the 25 seconds to change the power level.. How often are you going to change the power level?

I don't see the need for POD anyway. Pick a setting you like or works best for you, set it and forget it.

Suits the tinkerer's well, I suppose.

I like to run on a lower setting usually when I tow, but if some jackass ricer runs past me, I would sure like to be able to hit a couple of buttons and then smoke em.

The skinny pedal is my POD. Gauges tell me how to use it, regardless of tune.

Nobody ever won a race punching buttons. Not that I advocate street racing, by any means.

I was just trying to talk you out of the POD because you said you didn't want to install gauges.

I suppose you could run the Smarty w/o guages. That seems to be your only option, although I would not recommend it.

I am old school.. overhead EV2 gauges and the Smarty. Never use POD myself, I am of Nadirpoint. set it and forget it. Unless I win the lotto, I only run SW3 anyway till I can gut the tranny.. Smoke is what the 97 is for.
