Default 1996 Ram 2500 4x4 only has 2nd & 3rd gears
I just found out today that my tranny is only working in 2nd and 3rd. No 1st or OD. What can I do? Another thing, I had the truck sitting for the past week without batteries. The problem started after putting another set of batteries in. Could that have something to do with it?

I pulled the pan and changed the fluid & filter, disconnected the batteries while doing so, and now it works fine.
