Default THE WILSON THRASHER INTAKE MANIFOLD HORN

LOOKS REAL GOOD IT COMES WITH THE RAM PLATE WITH A BIGGER HOLE IN IT AND THE HORN HAS ABIG OPENING TO MACH THEY MADE IT FOR THE CO. TRUCK FIRST THEY PULL16000 LBS AND SAID THEY GET 18 MPG TOWING ? HAS AHY ONE USED ONE??? IT ABOUT 500$ FOR THE 2 PARTS AND ALL YOU NEEDTO DO THE JOB

When you type in capitol letters its like yelling at people in the forums. It's good forum etiquette not to type in all caps . On the subject of an intake how bout this package deal from S&B ..........

You would think that if you machined a complete system the Horn would cover 80% of the intake! But hey I don't have a cnc machine to play with! It looks great! Wish i had 5 bills to throw at it!

Injector lines and sensor ports won't allow it. I believe the later generation intake manifolds represent a pitiful compromise for that reason. The horn enters the manifold right at #2, so it's hard for me to see how they get a balanced intake charge across all cylinders. Probably also the main reason #5 & #6 pistons are always the first to melt.

That Wilson Thrasher is an excellent-looking idea/piece, as long as you don't need the grid heaters.

if i recall right they said it was tested to start eng. down to 9 degrees with out a heater i call and talk with them on 3-29-10 "and they are working with cummins right now on a heater set up " so they say

what if you stuck a couple glow plugs in the intake plate and wired them up, it wouldnt be as good as a grid but i think it would help.
