Im new to diesel . I'm interested in a 2008 6.4 l JOB 3 super duty reg. cab with new utility body
This vehical has 23,000 miles. The truck had a flat bed and was remove by the current dealer and they put a new knap utilitybody on it. I also did car fax on it and found nothing on it.
Is there any red flags about this year and motor I should be aware of . Please help

 

I had a friend how had a 08 or 09 6.4 can't remember year. It ran good and had good power . But it got terrible fuel mileage he eventually trade it of it got so bad but other than that it seamed to be a good engine.

 

they are power houses. as for the crappy mileage, get rid of the dpf and put a tuner on it n they'll be gettin 22 mpg no problem. the transmission behind them is awesome.

 

W/ a tuner only they get like 500hp and 1000lbs of torque. Plus mileage goes way up like cummins95 said
