my map lights and my direction and temp display stopped working is there a connector under the dash for that?

 

I had that happen the other day on my c rail and it was just the sensor under the hood.

i never dealt with on a 2nd gen 12v never had a fancy one but I would imagine my its the same.

If not try to disconnect the batteries for a while then try again.

Heck even check in the chiltons/hanyes manual who knows.

 

Mine went out about 2 years ago.... still haven't bothered to figure out why. But in my case the map lights still work as well as the auto rear view mirror dimmer. It's only the temp and compass that went black. I suspect that it fried. Unless their is a line fuse hidden in there that gave out.

I do miss seeing that temperature reading, though. I wonder how much that thing costs, anyways?
